Increased visitor rest areas especially at certain times such as holidays and holidays open opportunities for entrepreneurs to invest in building a rest area so that the quantity of rest area at this time is increasing. The increasing quantity of rest area toll road impact on the surrounding area including impact on the economy of surrounding communities, especially to the economic competitiveness of surrounding communities. This study aims to see the link between Rest Toll Road and Local Economic Development. In this research the relevance is seen from the change of income level, labor, and land use before and after operation of rest area along Jakarta to Brebes toll road. In general, this research uses descriptive quantitative method based on primary and secondary survey. This study proves that there is a link between the rest area on the toll road and the local economy seen from the change of income level, labor and land use, and the linkage is positive but the change is not significant this indicates that the existence of rest area has linkage but not Have a lot effect on the local economy of residents around the rest area. <br /> <br />
