Researchs on work posture and muscle injury complaints in health environment are still lacking, most of the researchs are done on the plant and plantation environment. <br /> <br /> This study want to examine the prevalence of musculoskeletal complaints against hospital nurses (case studies in a number of Jakarta and Bandung hospitals) and influential demographic factors. The data is taken by filling Nordic Questionnaire which contains the statement "Yes" and "No" to musculoskeletal complaints in certain body parts. From the questionnaires, we obtained the results that the respondents who experienced the most complaints during the last 12 months were in lower back pain as much as 48.75% (n = 39), respondents who had right and left shoulder pain complaints each of 50% (n = 40 ), and respondents who suffer from neck pain as much as 42.5% (n = 34). For other body complaints, right arm is 26.25% (n = 21), left arm is 28.75% (n = 23), right wrist is 33.75% (n = 27), left wrist and upper back are 38.75% (n = 31), right thigh is 32.5% (n = 26), left thigh is 30% (n = 24), left and right knee are 36.25% (n = 29), left and right foot are 37.5% (n = 30). <br /> <br /> Using a chi square test was tested in relation between every musculoskeletal complaints (lower back, right shoulder, left shoulder, and neck) with demographics (sex, age, last education, marital status, and period of work). The results state that the affect of musculoskeletal complaints is period of work (affecting complaints on the lower back, right shoulder, and neck) and marital status (affecting neck complaints). <br /> <br /> Keywords text
