ANALYSIS OF CAUSES TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS AND STREET CRIMES IN LUMAJANG DISTRICT VIEWED FROM THE NATIONAL PERSPECTIVE

<br /> <br /> <br /> The road network is a vital aspect in the development of buildings. The road network was forming elements of the transportation system,besides have contributed greatly in the development of areas, equity economic and science and technology, also caused several problems complex one of them is traffic accidents. Indonesia is one of the countries with the number of accidents traffic highest in the world. This condition is similar with the conditions in Lumajang in scope in theregion. Lumajang was the region with the third highest number of accidents in the province of East Java. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The high rate of traffic accidents in Indonesia, causing traffic accidents have become a threat and the third biggest killer in Indonesia. As for another threats to safety on the road is a street crime. Referring to the existing legislation, consideration of the safety and security aspects in the implementation of the road users must already have set up and mandated through infrastructure development and provision of road equipment on any road management. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This thesis aims to analyze the causes of traffic accidents and street crime in Lumajang viewed from a national perspective, through the illustrations of descriptive condition of the road network and the scope of road equipment, identification of causal traffic accidents and street crime, do the correlation between infrastructure equipment street with traffic accidents and the incidence of street crime, formulate models related to the handling solutions on the phenomenon and identifying networks of actors have relevance to the model of existing solutions. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The scope of the study area is located in Lumajang Regency East Java Province using qualitative approach. The period of time the study was conducted in December 2016 through April Year 2017 through primary and secondary data collection. The primary data collection using in-depth interviews to key informants to determine informants using technique. purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, correlation matrix, DPSIR analysis and network analysis actor. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> The results showed that the implementation of the road in Lumajang should be done across government because it includes three types, namely the status of the district, provincial and national levels. The cause of traffic accidents in Lumajang dominated by human factors such as public attitude and the attitude of institutions that have shifted from national ideology of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution Similarly with street crime. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> For the achievement of road equipment infrastructure provision remains largely below 50%, which which has a strong influence on traffic accidents and street crime is the road spikes, bend mirrors, warning signs, lighting and the resting place. Model solutions are obtained to overcome the phenomenon of traffic accidents and crimes include strengthening the character orderly way and entrepreneurship in society, increase the supply of public street lighting, road signage and road markings, as well as the construction of a tunnel crossing facilities. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Keywords: Equipment Roads, Traffic Accident, Street Crime <br />
