Summary: | The control of pollution in Cikapundung River must be taken seriously since Cikapundung River is one of Citarum River’s creek that is located in the upstream area. Cikapundung river is also an important river especially for Bandung citizen because it is used as drinking water. The pollutants in Cikapundung river are coming from surface run off or groundwater. This research is focused to analyze the condition of pollutant’s load in Cikapundung river that brought by surface run off as the function of land use’s change. First, the suface runoff discharge in Cikapundung river’s catchment area is calculated. After that, analyze the contribution of surface runoff discharge to the Cikapundung river discharge and the contribution of pollutant’s concentration in each water observation post. Next, do the calculation of the capacity of pollutant’s load based on the quality standard of Cikapundung River. The results of this research are: the pollutant’s load from domestik that entered to Cikkapundung river for each parameters (BOD, COD and TSS) are 1.02 kg/day for BOD and TSS, 1.53 kg/day for COD. The load of pollutant in the upstream area is still below it’s capacity, while from the middle to the downstream area the load of pollutant is overload. Next, the contribution of surface runoff discharge to the river discharge is not significant because it is very small (< 5%). It indicates that Cikapundung river discharge is still dominated by groundwater stream. Moreover, the concentration of the pollutant in Cikapundung river that brought by the surface runoff is not dominated by the pollutant from domestik source. |
