Summary: | The phenomenon of conversion paddy field into non-paddy fields increase every year intrusive government programs for the achievement of Food Sovereignty in the year 2020. One of the government's policy to cope with the needs of productive paddy field is conducting field extension develop Guidelines for Technical Expansion of Plant Food (forming paddy field ) in 2012.

On the technical guidelines, terms of determining the location of the fields candidates there are two parameters : ≤ 5% slope and lightly vegetated land cover and moderate. In 1993 Puslitanak set the parameters as requirements grow rice plants include temperature, humidity, location Land (slope), Texture (soil type), climate (rainfall), Intensity Sunshine, PH Soil and Drainage (hydrogeology) (Puslitanak, 1993 in Muh Aris Marfai, 2012). Several parameters can be used as the basis for determining the location of the prospective fields.

Study of potential candidates for the fields is done by weighting of each criterion using the method of paired comparisons of several scenarios and has the consistency (CR ≤ 0.1). While the sub-criteria will be weighted by using the method of ranking. And the final weight is classified into four classes of potential.
Research results on a map land suitability requirements grow and validation of the classification results obtained similarity of each class on a scenario by order of the same importance. Differences in scale interests have no influence on the scenario given the same order of importance. |
