Description
Summary:Bumi Panyawangan residential area is one of the residential areas are located in Cileunyi, Bandung regency. Currently, comprehensive residential area reaches 47 hectares with a total houses reach 1433 units sold, 21 units of shop houses, gardens, mosques and other facilities. The residential area will develop the area up to 80 hectares with the house reached 3038 units, 42 units of shop houses, and tourist facilities such as swimming pool. The main problem is the waste management system is currently only rely on garbage collection which done with door-to-door system by garbage trucks from BPLHD without waste minimization. Therefore, we need solid waste processing for residential area to minimize the waste which will be transported to a landfill in the form of a MRF managed by the developer. For designing the MRF, sampling has been done using SNI 19-3964-1994 method and the results shows that the waste in Bumi Panyawangan Residence reached 2,831 tonnes / day with the composition of organic waste consists of food scraps and leaves 37%, salable inorganic waste consisting of plastic, paper, metal, glass at 38% and the remaining other waste by 24%. To design the MRF, projection of waste generation up to 10 years into the future has been done and choosing some alternatif waste treatment plans. The design of MRF’s hangar consists of the tipping floor, the separation area using conveyor, storage for non organic disaggregated, composting area using box hollow brick, maturation area, packaging area of compost, and a parking area for garbage kontainer with the broad needs for hangar this 1,206 m2. The MRF is equipped with offices, vegetation, sanitation, and parking area.
