Supply of water to oil palm crops is observed by keeping the water level of the secondary channels at about 50 cm below the soil surface. Not only in the case of water shortage, correct management practice is required for oil palm plantations to be not inundated within a certain period during high intensity rainfall for the sustainability of the plant life. <br /> <br /> <br /> To conduct oil palm plantation management activities, certain facilities and infrastructure are needed to support oil palm cultivation. Some of them are water channels, water pumps, water gates, and embankments. This paper discusses the design planning of drainage and other buildings needed for oil palm plantations covering 1932 hectares in Bago Tangul Village, Kalumpang District, South Kalimantan Province. <br /> <br /> <br /> Planning of drainage network along with other buildings is done based on water balance analysis, dependable discharge modeling using F.J Mock method. , flood discharge modeling with HEC-HMS, and hydraulic modeling with HEC-RAS. text
