EVALUATION OF APPLICATION OF TSIKLAURI-BERESNEV AND DEL RIO MATHEMATICAL MODEL IN PREDICTING OIL PRODUCTION PERFORMANCES UNDER VIBRATING STIMULATION FOR LABORATORY SCALE– CASE STUDY LOW-MEDIUM PERMEABILITY RESERVOIR

Further research and observation has to be done in order to understand mechanism of fluid under vibrating stimulation, particularly in low permeability type of reservoir. Macroscopic approach can be used as a mathematical study to explain the behavior of fluid under vibrating stimulation. Through ma...

Macroscopic approach can be used as a mathematical study to explain the behavior of fluid under vibrating stimulation. Through macroscopic approach, Tsiklauri-Beresnev and Del Rio were able to prove the behavior of fluids on porous media. Sensitivity analysis for two operation parameters including frequency and oil viscosity is also performed in this study.

Laboratory test on low permeability type of core samples provide different optimum frequency compared to previous studies conducted which involves experiment on permeability above 200-1200 mD. This study has successfully discovered a new delay time phenomenon or the first time production affected by vibration’s frequency. Both mathematical models provide oil production profile that corresponds to the laboratory test and clearly explains the mechanism of fluid flow under vibrating stimulation. However, it is concluded that Del Rio model is more suitable to be applied in forecasting oil production profile for low permeability type. The amount of frequency, relaxation time/delay time, pore diameter, and oil viscosity affect oil production cumulative model. text
