Flash flood is one of the weather phenomena that is often causing heavy damage in West Java. The definition of flash flood itself is too common in Indonesia. On spatially, an area with time of concentration less than 6 hours is potentially with flash flood. The degradation of land-use implicates to the higher probability of flash flood. The main objective of this study is to create spatial map with potency of flash flood and identify the sensitivity of rainfall return periods to flash flood. In this study Kirpich Method was used to obtain time of concentration value and get the areas with flash flood potency. Then rainfall return periods and gradient index are calculated to identify the sensitivity of flash flood. The result of this study found that the area around Sumedang and Garut has a potential and high sensitivity to flash flood. <br />
