One of the methods is gravity surveying. Gravity method is used to model subsurface structure based on differences in rock density. In this final project, gravity surveying is implemented to identify the presence of faults in Ciater, Subang, West Java. Complete Bouguer Anomaly (CBA) value obtained in this area has the range of -1081.56 mgal (in the south) up to -313.25 mgal (in the northern). CBA data was separated using trend surface analysis approach. Residual anomaly data then used in the forward modeling process to get subsurface structure in the research area by using the method of polygon-n Talwani. Modeling result shows that there are 6 polygon models with different density and dimensions. Based on modeling result, the normal fault has been found in the study area that corresponding to geological data. text
