THE ANALYSIS OF FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE STUDENTS TO GET CONVENIENCE FOR STAYING AT THE ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL USING STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODELING

There are many factors thought to affect students get convenience for staying at the Islamic Boarding School. This study aims to determine what factors are involved. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to find the answers to the research objectives. The sample is obtained by using judgment sampling method, which the sample is taken based on the criteria than have been formulated in advance by the researcher. The sample criterion is a student who has been staying in the Islamic Boarding School at least four years. Base on the exsisting criteria then the sample netted in this study are students of class XI and XII. Samples collected in this study amounted to 145 respondents. Based on the factors studied, such as activities factor, parent encouragement, boarding school environment condition and facilities, the result of structural equation modeling (SEM) showed that, the activity (art performance and counseling) is the most influential factor to make student get convenience for staying at the Islamic Boarding School of Condong.
