In this final project, a mathematical model, so called Vidale-Wolfe advertising model, that gives <br /> <br /> <br /> the relation between sale and advertising of the product will be studied. In order to obtain the maximum profit from the sale of the product, the model is worked out into an optimal control problem with the advertising cost is as a control factor. The analytic solution of this problem is obtained by using three types of control which are maximum, minimum, and singular controls. Some numerical simulations are also being used to solve the optimal control problem of the model. text
