The purpose of this study is to know stress regime and critical fracture characteristic at Jatibarang Formation. The data used in is study are wireline log, core, test results, drilling report, and 3D seismic. The geomechanic calculation at Jatibarang Formation is performed by using Zoback and Haimson and Fairhurst methods calibrated with test results. The critical fracture analysis is performed by using Mohr Circle constructed from geomechanic study and plane of failure according to frictional strength from Brylee’s study. The open fractures are identified by using image log. The stress regime in the Jatibarang Formation is normal fault with three dominant fracture orientations, i.e. N300-400E (NE), N1600-1700E (NS), and N3200 – 3300E (NW) with the dominant dip of 800-900. Open fractures in APP field were formed in varied orientation due to many tectonics events. The intensity and density of the fractures at Jatibarang Formation increase with the presence of small scale fault. The critical fractures in this field have the orientation of N1600-2450E and N3450-600E with the dip of 500- 800 and they are mostly located at production interval. text
