Characteristics, types, source of the hot groundwater, and other impacts that may arise from hot groundwater are some things that need to be assessed first before determining the appropriate method of handling. <br /> <br /> <br /> The method used in this research is hydrogeochemical analysis and stable isotopes analysis. Hydrogeochemical analyzes were carried out in Piper, trilinear, geothermometer and water element ratios to determine water facies, estimating temperature in reservoirs, hydrothermal system, and zone determination for the area of interest. Stable isotopes analysis is performed for isotopes 2H, 18O, and 13C. Isotopes 2H and 18O shows the physical-chemical processes occurring in water during the hydrological cycle, while the 13C isotope show either the source or the forming environment of water. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on this research, it can be concluded that genesis of the hot groundwater in Pit A is related to activity of magmatic source that rich in CH4. Some elements that potentially dangerous to environment are found in a high concentration in hot groundwater from Pit A and WNR, thus the hot groundwater need further treatment before the disposal.<p align="justify"> <br /> text |
