Small island and coastal area are among the first area to be affected by the sea level rise, therefore vulnerability assessment has to be conducted on those area to predict the future threat on those areas. Three locations surronding the coastal area of Inner Ambon Bay were selected as the research area. Coastal Integrity Vulnerability Assessment Tools (CIVAT) used as the assessment method. This method combines the physical aspect with the local ecosystem that can withstand the threat to the coastal area, where the main criteria during the assessment are Exposure, Sensitivity and Adaptive Capability. CIVAT has a more comprehensive parameter than other assessment methods, therefore CIVAT is more suitable for assessing small island and coastal area with a well-preserved ecosystem. <br /> <br /> Studies conducted based on field observation and secondary sources on three location (Negeri Lama, Lateri and Pokka) showed that Inner Ambon Bay are not severely affected by climate change. Negeri Lama and Lateri have a low vulnerability index, while Pokka have a medium vulnerability index text |
