Energy radiated from the volcanic earthquakes can provide information about the source mechanisms and the development of the volcano. <br /> <br /> There are two types of earthquakes that are distinguished by location of occurrence, namely Volcano Tectonic-A and distal Volcano Tectonic-A. In this period, the distal volcano-tectonic events were occured before the occurrence of Volcano Tectonic events A. Using the velocity waveform spectrum of S wave, the energy value ranges from 1.43 × 1016 erg to 2.02 × 1022 erg. The energy generated from Volcano Tectonic distal events is greater than the energy of the Volcano Tectonic-A. For monitoring and mitigation process needs, energy values need to be obtained rapidly. One way is to use the empirical formula between magnitude and energy. In this study, formulation Log E = 1.6261*M + 11,039 was obtained. text |
