Through imaginative exploration of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, this design thesis aspires to transform audio sensation (i.e. note, rhythm, tempo, duration, movement) into architectural manifestation (i.e. form, material, density, color, texture), using historic contextual, analogical and metaphorical approaches. <br /> <br /> Light is the first inspiration emerges from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Through interpretation and iteration processes, the inspiration is then enriched with analogical and metaphorical associations, to attain a solid architectural composition for concert hall. The architectural composition ultimately is not a naïve representation of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, it is instead an autonomous art form whose spirit is deeply inspired by Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. <br /> <br /> The historical context of the intended site-Jaarbeurs, Taman Maluku and Gelora Saparua-has led the architectural design exploration process to the creation of sense of place, featuring a tropical garden full of contentment and a concert hall for the people to revive their spirit and contemplate. Sequence of spatial experiences and ritual of classical music performance appreciations significantly inspired the way how the site and outdoor spaces to be arranged, in achieving a poetic and holistic architectural design solution.<p align="justify"> text
