Summary: | One of the unique characteristics in retrograde reservoir is the presence of non-Darcy flow which causes the turbulent flow in porous media. This type of reservoir will have three different types of conditions during production. The first condition is a condition in which the phase is formed only in gas phase. Then, along with the drop in pressure, it reaches its dew point so that the liquid begins to force out so it will go to next condition. It is the condition of the condensate and will be retrograde at some point so that the fluid reservoir will go the last condition which has the gas phase. In this paper, these conditions shall be referred as condition 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
This study will be about the effect of turbulence factor in forecasting IPR in retrograde gas reservoir. In determining the necessary parameters, well testing must be done using modified isochronal test method at the same range of time. CMG software is used in simulation using three different types of compositions. This study uses p2 method in calculating the flow rate and forchheimer coefficient factors in using non-Darcy flow. Then the obtained AOF value will be compared between the current states to the future states where the pressure reservoir is used as the other parameters.
Dimensionless IPR and Future IPR is made to perform forecasting for each composition and conditions used. The results show that the IPR forecasting in turbulent flow can only be used on each condition. |
