Description
Summary:Greater Bandung Metropolitan Area is a region which is being developed by the Government of West Java Province as supporter of economic acceleration in West Java. Adequate infrastructure, especially Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management, is needed to support its development. The government has prepared a regional final processing area located in Legok Nangka, Nagreg District, Bandung Regency. Recently, MSW generation in service areas of TPA Legok Nangka is reaching 8.934 m3/ day or 1.688 tonne/day. This is going to increase along with the development of this area. Dominant composition of MSW is organic, it reaches 71,2%. TPA Legok Nangka is planned to operate for 20 years from 2017 until 2036. Loading of MSW in 2017 is predicted about 7.499 m3/day. In 2037, loading of MSW is predicted about 11.883 m3/day. MSW generation can be reduced by treatment technology. In order to select suitable treatment technology, a scientific approach needed. In this study, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is proposed. AHP is a multi-criteria decision making method which is based on stakeholders‟ judgement. Stakeholders who become respondents in this study is categorized by three groups, there are government, society, and researcher. Some criterias that have to be considered by respondents are social aspects, economical aspects, environmental aspects, and technical aspects. Technology options for TPA Legok Nangka are refuse derived fuel production using biodrying, gasification, anaerobic digestion, and sanitary landfill. Based on all stakeholders‟ judgement, the best technology treatment to be applied in TPA Legok Nangka is refuse derived fuel production using biodrying.
