Description
Summary:
The office building in Kemang is consisted of 2 building to accommodate office and retail activities. Water usage in the building will generate wastewater. Human contact with this wastewater must be prevented to create hygienic condition so that good health condition could be maintained. To prevent contact with human, wastewater should be conveyed with good piping system to a treatment plant. This building is designed with green building principle so that the conveyance of greywater and blackwater will be separated. Greywater will further be treated and the treated water will be used for flushing. The design process of plumbing system for this building begins with literature study, and then data collection, and last designing the system. The horizontal pipes are designed with 2% slope. Stormwater that fall on the roof will be conveyed to rainwater tank and will further be used. Stormwater that fall on the yard will be conveyed to infiltration area. The diameter of horizontal pipes for greywater ranges from 1 ¼ inches to 3 inches and the diameter of vertical pipe is 4 inches. The horizontal pipes for blackwater has diameters that ranges from 2 inches to 4 inches and the vertical pipe has diameter of 4 inches. The building discharge pipe has diameter of 4 to 5 inch. The branch vent pipe has diameter of 1 ½ inches to 3 inches and the vertical vent pipe has diameter that ranges from 2 ½ inches to 5 inches. The size of stormwater drainage pipe from roof ranges from 2 – 10 inches and from the yard ranges from 2 – 12 inches. 74 units of stormwater chamber is used for the infiltration area.
