The existing building of the hospital is located at Astaraanyar Street No. 224, Bandung, while the new building is located at KH Wahid Hasyim Street No. 311, Kopo, Bandung. Until now RSKIA Bandung sends their medical waste to third parties, namely medical waste processing company. Whereas, RSKIA Bandung has the potential to conduct on-site waste treatment that can minimize the possibility of contamination during transportation and reduce medical waste processing costs. Based on the observation done in the existing building on February 6th-8th 2018, found that the average medical waste generation of RSKIA Bandung is 0.87 kg/bed/day. After projection of new building, the result of waste generation reach 377.40 kg/day, therefore designed waste medical incinerator for capacity 150,96 kg/hour with burning process for 2,5 hours/day. Based on the weighting process it is decided that type of incinerator is an air-controlled incinerator. This waste treatment facility is also equipped with two combustion chamber, exhaust gas quench tower using direct water injection principle, catalytic reduction denoxification, venturi scrubber, and other supporting facilities such as burner, blower, pump, mist eliminator, fan, chimney, ducting, and also the location building of incinerator placement. text |
