Description
Summary:
Mount Pandan is considered as dormant volcano but in the past recent year some volcanic activity has observe from the mountain. Some indications such as hot springs appear and some dead trees dry up in the Mount Pandan area indicate that there is activity of magmatism there. Gravity method is the method that is suitable for initial research on volcanoes. For this study, the author conducted data acquisition at Mount Pandan in May 2016 then processed the data to obtain residual anomaly data. The residual anomaly data is used to find out the subsurface layer of Mount Pandan. Subsurface modeling uses forward modeling method to obtain 2,5 D visualization. From the subsurface model was obtained intrusion characteristics that emerge the volcanic activity in Mount Pandan in the past recent years.
