The geomorphic stage of the study area range from young to mature. Based on the lithologic distribution, the study area consists of basement rocks, molasse deposits and surface deposit. The basement rocks are Middle to Late Triassic Sandstone 1 Unit, Middle to Late Triassic Limestone Unit, Cretaceous Ultramafic Rocks Unit and Late Cretaceous Chert-Calcilutite Unit. The molasse deposits are Sandstone 2 Unit, Sandstone-Claystone Unit with the age of Middle Miocene to Early Pliocene. The surface deposit is found in the form of recent Alluvial Deposit Unit. The main geologic structures developed in the study area are WNW-ESE-trending plunging anticline-syncline and sinistral strike-slip faults. There are two types of sandstone in the study area, i.e. Middle-Late Triassic and Middle Miocene-Early Pliocene sandstones. Based on QFL diagram analysis, both types of sandstone are derived from recycled orogen provenance. Meanwhile based on the detrital modes, the main source of the older sandstone is low to moderate-grade metamorphic rocks while the younger ones came primarily from sedimentary and ultramafic rocks. <p align="justify"> text |
