Development of Security System on Production Monitoring System: Case Study of AC Production Unit in PT. XYZ

<p align="justify">PT. XYZ produces air conditioner for train. This workshop is willing to adopt Industry 4.0 concept in form of monitoring system based on Internet of Things (IoT). The protocol that suitable for such case is MQTT protocol because it is very lightweight. However, there are some risks posed as MQTT protocol by default is not equipped with security system. Therfore, the production monitoring system need to be designed along with the security system. <br /> <br /> The purpose of this research is to develop the production monitoring system based on IoT using MQTT protocol and equipped with security system. The devices that are used in the system are barcode scanner and RFID reader equipped with Wemos D1 Mini. These devices are connected to database via broker in Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. The security system applied to monitoring system are SSID and password in wifi network, username and password for each client, topic restriction policy trough access control ist (ACL), and SSL/TLS encryption protocol. <br /> <br /> The monitoring system is tested based on manufacturing process simulation in Minor Assy Wiring Workstation. The system succeeded to save data into database based on events in shop floors. The security system also worked as intended.<p align="justify">
