<br /> <br /> Since batik is recognized as a world heritage by UNESCO in 2009, significantly increases demand of batik clothes, it makes batik industries in the Rembang Regency increases its production, it means more waste generated which raises complex problems for surrounding environment. Increasing the demand of batik also makes the number of batik industry increased significantly, most of them are small and medium scale industries which does not have any standard operation and procedure for waste treatment. In addition, the batik’s entrepreneurs have no awareness for the environment. Another problem is the location of batik industries are spread, not in one place, spread in all area in Rembang Regency, it makes difficult to design one infrastructure for all. <br /> <br /> <br /> From this research I want to identify the existing condition of water treatment of batik companies and its influence on water body quality, determine the most appropriate model and type of batik wastewater treatment plant, determine the best location of centralized batik wastewater treatment and evaluate performance, program and policy of batik waste management and treatment in Rembang Regency. <br /> <br />
