Description
Summary:Pakcoy (Brassica chinensis L.) has the potential to be an alternative source of

nutrition that is affordable for the community. This study was designed to determine

the combination of vermicompost and water interval with the use of drip irrigation

systems that can increase nitrogen uptake and chlorophyll content of pakcoy. The

experiment was conducted using split-plot randomized block design with three

replications. Watering interval as the main plot consists of three levels (once a day

(V1), once every two days (V2), and once every three days (V3)). Growing media

as subplots consisted of five levels with a ratio of soil and vermicompost 1: 0 (M0),

3: 1 (M1), 1: 1 (M2), 1: 3 (M3), 0: 1 (M4). The results showed that pakcoy plants

grown in media with M2V3 treatment combination had the highest plant N content,

which was 4.37%. The highest N uptake was obtained in the combination of M2V1

treatment with a value of N absorption of 183 mg / plant. The highest value of

nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) was obtained in M2V1 treatment combination with

a value of 18.4 g / g. The results of the variance analysis test showed that there was

no interaction between growing media and water interval on the parameters of

pakcoy chlorophyll content. The highest chlorophyll content was obtained by the

combination of M3V3 treatment of 16.1 mg / L.
