Characteristics of electricity generation in the island in Indonesia is the use of Diesel Power Plant (DPP). The use of diesel makes cost of production of system becomes very high. One of the solution to reduce the cost of production of system is to convert conventional power plants into Hybrid Power Generators that utilize Renewable Energy Generators such as Photovoltaics (PV). Penetration of renewable energy generation is in line with the government plan that is renewable energy program with a 23% target of penetration in 2025. Hybrid Power Generation that utilizes Renewable Energy Generation has a problem that should be considered. The problem is stability of power output. This is due to the nature of the renewable energy which is called intermittent. So, it is necessary to determine the composition of the Hybrid Power Plant. The composition of Hybrid Power Plant consists of DPP, PV, and Battery. The most optimal composition is the composition which the cost of production of system is lower than before interconnection. Also fulfilling the criteria of power flow, N-1 contingency, short circuit current, and transient stability. Also in a power system there are several possible points of penetration. Determination of optimum penetration point also refers to these criteria.

text |
