Summary: | Pulau Tidung Besar is one of the inhabitated islands in Kabupaten Kepulauan Seribu, DKI Jakarta. Tidung Besar Island is also famous for tourism with an area of 50 ha. There are four sources of activities that can generate waste that is household with 4,787 residents, non-houshold with public facilities, tourism activities and marine debrish. Waste processing in Tidung Besar Island is currently burning with L-Box incinerator. However, the incinerator capacity that can not process all the waste generated on the island causes unprocessed waste to be dumped in open area before it transported by garbage ship to Bantar Gebang. Therefore it takes an Integrated Transfer Station that can process the waste generated every day in Tidung Besar Island. Sampling for the generated and compositio has been done refers to the SNI 19-3964-1995 with the result of land waste of Tidung Besar Island is 1,733 kg / day and the biggest composition is food and leaves (59.59%) and salable inorganic that consists of plastic, paper / cardboard, metal and glass (25.22%), and residual waste (14.87%). Design of Intergrated Transfer Station is using standards from Petunjuk Teknis TPS 3R (Tempat Pengolahan Sampah 3R) and Tata Cara Penyelenggaraan Sistem Pengelolahan Sampah di Kawasan Pulau Kecil by Kementrian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat. Integrated Transfer Station in Tidung Besar Island will have a minimum area of loading and shorting area of 52.5 m2, windrow composting area and compost maturation of 101 m2, salable inorganic storage area of 28 m2 and residue treatment area with thermal insinerator technology . The total Integrated Transfer Station area is 928 m2 with additional facilities such as offices, warehouses, toilets and parking areas. |
