Description
Summary:
Society behaviors with their contemporary life style have large potential to augment the environmental loads particularly the waste generation and discard. The factors identification

related to both loads can support the waste generation system planning. The relationship of GDP, consumption expenditures, and waste generationvalues at Sukabumi Regency, Cianjur Regency, and Cirebon City shows the increase in GDP and consumption expenditures also increase the amount of waste generation. Using Daskalopoulos model, results show that waste generation in West Java able to be explained 67,1% by consumption expenditures per category, with model accuracy 90,32%. Using Khajuria model, results show that waste generation in West Java able to be explained 64,4% by population, GDP, and illiteracy with model accuracy 67,76%. Using

cluster analysis and discriminant analysis, cities/regencies in West Java classified by its

characteristics into 3 system clusters with main driving factor is population density, where increment of population density, the waste generation is increased as well. West Java cities/regencies typology based on characteristic and spatial structure divided into three patterns, pattern of cities/regencies with local activities center (LAC) status, pattern of cities/regencies with national activities center (NAC)/ regional activities center (RAC) status and lower consumption expenditures, pattern of NAC/RAC cities/regencies status and higher consumption expenditures. West Java cities/regencies typology based on waste generation and spatial structure divided into

four patterns, pattern of cities/regencies with LAC status which has low waste generation and low consumption expenditure, pattern of cities/regencies NAC/RAC status which has low waste generation and high consumption expenditure, pattern of cities/regencies NAC/RAC status which has medium waste generation and high consumption expenditure, and pattern of cities/regencies NAC/RAC status which has high waste generation and low consumption expenditure.
