H2S is also sometimes found in associated gas from oil well. <br /> <br /> <br /> There are various H2S removal technologies that have been developed and applied in oil and gas industries. This paper focuses on the analysis of the appropriate H2S removal technology selection using multi-criteria for small and medium feed gas rate with high H2S concentration. The analysis is performed using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) by comparing the value of each applied criteria for each technology which will result in overall priority list. The evaluated criteria include simplicity of system, operability, reliability, availability, maintainability, process safety, environmental impact, efficiency, capital and operational cost. <br /> <br /> <br /> This paper concludes that for natural gas with high H2S concentration and medium flow rate, represented by case A (H2S 10000 ppmv, 10 MMscfd gas rate), direct biological treatment at high pressure (1000 psig) scores the highest priority. Meanwhile for natural gas with high H2S concentration and low flow rate, represented by Case B (H2S 20000 ppmv, 1.5 MMscfd gas rate), the highest priority is solid scavenger fixed bed process. <p align="justify"> <br /> text |
