Description
Summary:Teak wood (Tectona grandis L.f) is one type of tropical wood that is very important because it has high quality and selling value, especially as raw material for furniture and building materials. High material demand from consumers to the industry leaves teak bark as a neglected material with relatively low selling value. The use of this material is limited to its use as firewood or fencing in some areas, especially the Blora, Central Java as the study area. Through the results of exploration of teak bark material, one of the advantages of teak bark material with the natural content of tektokuinon is the resistance of this material to heating. Through the exploration of the right material and the role of the designer for the design of the product use in the form of bakelite substitute cookware, the use of teak wood skin can be maximized and become an added value to this material. The results of exploration and utilization of teak wood leather material can develop into tea set products and other products with high intensity of heat exposure.
