Summary: | Bucket Tooth T 200G-PHE is PT Pindad’s steel material that being a component of bucket teeth in an escavator. The needed mechanical properties is on 45-52 HRC hardness and Charpy V Notch impact resistance 22-32 joule. The change process of steel mechanical properties using heat treatment that does not change the steel’s chemical composition and mechanical properties as a result of heat treatment is homogeneous in every part. There are two steps of heat treatment. The first step is hardening and the second is tempering. The hard test result shows that the material hardness decreases if the tempering temperature increases. The metalography result shows that the micro structure changes by a heat treatment process. The impact test result of tempered specimen at 400ºC is decrease if compared to the impact test result temper at 300ºC. The conclusion is tempering temperature that produces a mechanical properties that close to PT Pindad specification mechanical properties is 300 ºC with 46,75 HRC hardness and impact resistance of 18,11 joules CVN. |
