The data used in this research are wireline log, source rock geochemistry, biostratigraphy, drilling event report, and well pressure. <br /> <br /> The overpressure zone in the research area can be proved by mud weight profile and well log profile curve. The research wells have mud pressure profile that is higher than hydrostatic pressure. The well log profile shows the presence of overpressure zones in MW, CD, and MS2 1A wells. The top of overpressure is found in Late Miocene sediment. The analysis of overpressure mechanism in the research area was performed based on source rock maturity data and Dutta cross plot. The overpressure in the research area is influenced by loading and nonloading mechanisms. The loading mechanism is caused by high sedimentation rate. The nonloading mechanism is caused by source rocks maturation. The Eaton exponent for sonic log in the research area ranges from 1 to 2. The Eaton exponent is influenced by overpressure mechanism.<p align="justify"> text |
