Summary: |
As a developing country, Indonesia encounters higher population and economic growth than the developed countries. Public purchasing power, consumption pattern, diverse activities and industrial activities are growing as a result of population and economic growth which also result in increasing amount of solid waste. The objective of this research is between socioeconomic and demography towards waste generation on 33 provincial capitals in Indonesia. Furthermore, conduct clustering and quadrant analysis. The result of waste generation analysis is used to set waste management infrastructure plan. Based on clustering and quadrant analysis, capital cities in Indonesia are divided into three patterns. Pattern 1 is group of cities with low waste generation characterized by low Gross Domestic Product and population density, high population growth and medium economic growth. Pattern 2 is group of cities with low waste generation characterized by high population density and economic growth and Gross Domestic Product and medium population growth. Pattern 3 is group of cities high waste generation characterized by high Gross Domestic Product, medium population density and low population and economic growth. The result of infrastructure plan indicates that there are only seven out of 29 cities with APBD environment more than management cost of all city waste production in 2014. Allocate better APBD using projected fund required for waste management in each city as a comparison so APBD environment below waste management cost for some cities can be increased and cities with APBD environment above the required cost can be allocated for other usage.
|
