Description
Summary:Complex number is defined as the ordered pairs of real numbers. Complex number can be denoted in sum or polar form. One of the application of complex number is Schwarz-Christoffel transformation. Schwarz-Christoffel transformation transforms y≥0 region in z-plane to an n-polygon in w-plane with maintaining the large angle and angular direction. In this final project, Schwarz-Christoffel transformation is applied to the channel of a fluid flow and used to determine the complex potential function consists velocity potential and stream function. With this complex potential function, the magnitude of fluid velocity at a point can be determined. With Bernoulli’s equation, the point which has maximum or minimum velocity can be discovered and the stagnation point on the channel can be known.
