Liquid dominated geothermal’s sistem is kind of reservoir usually found in the earth. It has greater liquid phase percentage than vapour phase. Boiling of this geothermal sistem usually happened at the upper part of the reservoir and form steam cap which is used to be driving mechanism for another extraction. Kinds of this reservoir in Indonesia are Wayang Windu, Awibengkok, Dieng, Karaha Bodas, Ulubellu, Sibayak, and Sarulla. Reservoir pressure controlled by hidrostatic pressure. Liquid dominated usually use separator to separate liquid and vapour phase. Reinjection should be done to prevent polution. <br /> <br /> Wairakei was one of many liquid-dominated geothermal fields in New Zealand. Wairakei was the first two-phase geothermal field developed for power production. It was quite interesting to discuss about this field because of the pattern of production. Injection was not delivered in the early production of this field so the impact is pollution issue and drastic pressure drop. <br /> <br /> Energy balance is an equation with principle of energy conservation. principle of this equation simply defined as conservation of mass. This principle then used for analyzing reservoir condition of Wairakei geothermal field in the past and use it for present and future if it is needed. Geothermal’s reservoir acting as tank, one-dimension, with constant volume. Mass out from the sistem was surface manifestation (fumaroles and hot springs) and extraction of the reservoir’s fluid to the surface. While mass enter the sistem was defined as natural recharge or reinjection. <br /> <br /> This paper contains an evaluation of Wairakei geothermal field using energy balance’s principle and ms. Excel as a tool, to calculate injection effectivity of reservoir’s performance. Reservoir’s model using homogeny cylindrical reservoir with sensitivity of different injection’s treatment. The impact of injection treatment will be showed in graphic and calculation. <br /> <br /> Conclusion of this paper is reinjection should be done as soon as possible in liquid-dominated geothermal’s sistem. But, steam cap also become consideration of the production strategy because it has great role on driving mechanism of fluid’s extraction.
