總結:Tenun ikat Sintang is one of the many traditional woven fabrics of Indonesia. They come from the Dayak tribes of West Kalimantan. Each tribe inherits highly valued aesthetics, shown through the various neolithic motifs which represent their worship of nature and their ancestors. Their perception of beauty is inspired by their traditions which were rooted from their belief and religion, they are then poured into the traditional art of weaving.

Cortex is one the megatrends of 2019/2020’s trend forecast. Artificial intelligence and electricity is the main focus of this trend; and they are expected to give off an uplifting feeling. Topstitching is also predicted frequently be used together with this image. This theme uses computers, specifically artificial intelligence, as the source of visual inspiration of form, material, and design—where the results are usually unpredictable—opening new horizons of those aspects.

The patterns and motifs of tenun ikat Sintang and Cortex are both interesting subjects to explore, more so if their traditional and modern patterns are to be fused.

The motifs chosen from tenun ikat Sintang are Sandung and Merinjan which are then stylized and deformed. They will be applied through the use of screen printing, layering, laser cutting, embellishment and digital print to organza, organdi, and polyester fabrics with the addition of clear plastic sheets. The final products are ready-to-wear clothing for women with simple silhouettes.
