Summary: | Dynamic and comfortable prosthetic legs or arms are currently still not affordable by the middle

to lower class in Indonesia. At the age of primary school, the child can already react to intellectual

stimulation or carry out the learning tasks. The disability conditions give rise to various stressors

for the child, and these conditions can have an impact on physical, cognitive, emotional, and social

development, resulting in a negative impact on the child's self-esteem. The age of 4-6 years old is

the early period of a child expanding their social circle and interact with people around them so

this period is the most crucial period in the psychosocial development of a child. The inability to

buy prosthetic legs or arms could possibly increase the stress level of children due to the limited

amount of physical activity, this could also affect the mental foundation and social ability so that

children will experience obstacles as adults later. The concerns on the physical growth of

transtibial amputation occur in residual limb growth and height growth of the healthy legs.

Because both of these are of primary concern, the prosthetic size changes occur at the length of

the socket as a residual limb container and a whole prosthetic height altogether to compensate for

the height growth of the healthy feet. Prosthetic design that is able to adapt to changes in body

size during early childhood will help users and buyers reduce the cost of purchases.
