Based on Landform Classification, the research area is divided into three

geomorphological units. Those units are Malingping Mesa Hills Unit, Kersaratu Plateau Valley Unit, also Bolang and Cilangkahan Alluvial Plain Unit. Stratigraphically, the research area can be divided into five non-formal lithological units formed in Late Miocene - Holocene epoch. Those units, from oldest to youngest, are Claystone-Sandstone Unit, Breccia-Tuff Unit, Basalt Lava Unit, Tuff Unit, and Alluvial Deposit Unit. Fault structures in the research area are the product of compressional deformation regime, N-S relative trending, formed in Plio-Pleistocene epoch. Aquifer in the research area consist of Claystone-Sandstone Unit, Breccia-Tuff Unit, Tuff Unit, and Alluvial Deposit Unit. In the other hand, there is potential aquifer in Basalt Unit as fractures and result of weathering. All of those aquifers form unconfined aquifer system. Groundwater flowing pattern generally flows toward the southwest. The depth of groundwater-table tends to be shallow in the low elevation and the depth in the high elevation, groundwater-table tends to be deep. The high TDS values are in southwest of research area. Acidic pH values are in the north and northeast, while an alkaline pH is on the southwest and northwest. Based on the analysis of pH and TDS values, and refers to the Permenkes RI No.492/MENKES/PER/IV/2010 groundwater proper to be consumed spread over the central part of the research area.
text
