Summary: | Humans need transportation to move and fulfil the logistics of daily needs. To save expenses, operators often load goods or passengers that exceed the payload capacity (over dimension over load). This practice is often carried out by freight transport vehicle operators. According to Jasa Marga data, the number of overloaded freight vehicles is 57.18% in the first quarter of 2018. The method applied by the authorities is still not effective in reducing the operation of overloaded freight vehicles, even though they have started installing equipment with new technologies such as weigh in motion . <br />

In this final project, a system has been developed and tested to prevent overloaded freight transport vehicles from being operated. This system works by cutting the starter circuit using a relay and giving a reminder using buzzer based on the strain gauge reading data transmitted via Bluetooth. <br />

The system in the Final Project is still in the form of a circuits and needs further development to be used directly on freight vehicles. |
