Summary: | <p align="justify">Transportation is a process of human being or goods travel from one place to another in order to fulfill necessities. In the process, the mode of transportation could not be separated from transportation. One aspect that is reviewed in the selection of transportation modes is transportation costs. All expenses for transportation that are borne by transportation users are categorized as internal costs. Out-of-pocket costs are the cost that paid in cash by the transportation users. This cost is one of the important considerations of a person in choosing a mode of transportation. Factors that affect the out-of-pocket costs of public transport are public transport fares, while for internal costs of public transport are public transport fares, waiting time costs, the cost of walking, and the cost of travel time by public transport. Whereas for motorbikes or cars the out-of-pocket cost factors are including of fuel costs and parking costs, while for internal costs are including of vehicle operating costs, parking fees, and travel time costs. Time cost are the value of money that paid for one trip. Time cost based on income approach method of Bandung City is 554 rupiah per person per minute. For short and medium distance, the average out of pocket cost in public transport is cheaper compared to private vehicle including motorbike and car. The value of the average out-of-pocket public transport, motorcycles, and cars Rp 2,500, Rp 2,510, and Rp 7,700 for a short distance. For long distance, the average out-of-pocket cost of motorbike is cheaper compared to public transport or cars. The value of the average out-ofpocket public transport, motorbikes and cars is Rp. 10,000, Rp. 4,244, and Rp. 27,626 for long distance. The average internal cost of a motorbike is cheaper than that of a car or public transport in each distance category. The average value of internal costs for public transport, motorbikes and cars is Rp. 12,560, Rp. 7,192, and Rp. 15,435 for short distances and for long distance Rp. 56,337, Rp. 28,540, and Rp. 115,117.<p align="justify"> |
