In order to do its responsibility, it is very useful for Badan Pusat Statistik to manage the data and information that were produced. One of Badan Pusat Statistik representative offices is Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan. Nowadays, there is expansion area in Kalimantan. So, there is new province called North Kalimantan Province. Related to this condition, the role of Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan in managing the data and information is larger because there is no BPS representative office in North Kalimantan, so BPS East Kalimantan has responsibility to handle the job in two provinces. The author thought that Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan have to implement Knowledge Management (KM) because KM could facilitate BPS East Kalimantan to process more data. So, there is an urgency in implementing KM at BPS East Kalimantan. Therefore, the author did an assessment of knowledge management readiness related to KM leadership, process, people, technology, learning & innovation, and KM outcome at Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan through questionnaire and interview. <br /> <br /> <br /> The business issue at Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan related to knowledge management problem are knowledge transfer, knowledge stock and flow, and knowledge sharing. One of problem in knowledge transfer or share is lack of employees’ awareness in sharing and transferring their skill or knowledge, and the problem with knowledge stock and flow is there is no repository system to stock or store the knowledge that Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan had. So the purpose of this research is to solve the business issues at Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan with doing an assessment of Knowledge Management readiness at Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan through questionnaire and interview based on APO’s framework, analyzing the result of knowledge management readiness assessment in Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan, and giving recommendation related to the analysis result. <br /> <br /> <br /> To get deeper understanding of the current situation at there, the author also made gap analysis and root cause analysis. The result of the research is the employees expect better knowledge management condition. Therefore, the author recommends Badan Pusat Statistik East Kalimantan to synchronize the solution from KM leadership, people, process, technology, KM process, and learning & innovation to create the inovation as the outcome of KM implementation. Besides that, the author also recommends BPS East Kalimantan to measure the solution implementation in order to meet the vision of BPS East Kalimantan. <p align="justify"> <br /> text
