Description
Summary:PT. X Cirebon is a furniture industry that produces finished products made from rattan such as chairs, tables, shelves and other furniture. Some examples of production processes conducted at PT. X is the process of raw materials, cutting, evaporation & assembly, weaving, packing, etc. In the work process, there are problems in body posture where there is an awkward posture when working and manual lifting activity that caused the occurrence of Musculoskeletal Disorder. The aim of this research to evaluate the work posture, evaluate the prevalence of MSDs complaints and analyze the dominant factors that can lead to MSDs complain to workers. Body posture data was obtained from a picture of worker posture while working, then analyzed using Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA). Standardized Nordic Questionnaire was used to determine the prevalence of MSDs complaints. Workload data is obtained from the estimated workload based on the level of calorie needs according to energy expenditure while working which refers to SNI. The prevalence result of MSDs complaints on workers showed that the highest complaint was found in the packing unit that is on the hands and feet of 75%. The result of the workload assessment shows that the highest average workload value is in the raw material unit that is 311.61 kcal per hour. Multiple logistic regression tests on MSDs complaints indicate that posture and occupation are the dominant factors that can lead to MSDs complaints to workers in the production unit.
