<p align="justify">Map is a representation of the present condition of the world with a define scale and projection system. Whether the map is useful or not is mostly depends on the design. One of map&#8223;s function is to deliver information and that is the reason why map is include as one of the info graphic. Based on the study from Poynter Institute (1991), 77% person open a page in media because of the visual info graphic and 88% among them continue read the content of article. Hence, it is necessary to conduct a research about the use of map in newspaper and magazine in Indonesia and also its characteristics because the function of map is depends on its design. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> After the data have been collected from 16 National Newspapers and Region Newspaper from each provinces from Oktober 2015 - December 2015 and National Magazine along 2015, there is a fact that the use of map in newspaper and magazines in Indonesia is not uniform and also for its characteristics. Some newspapers use a big number of map but some newspapers use none. For the map information element, legend is the most used element at the map in media. After that, scale, legend, north arrow, projection and reference system. As consequences from the analysis, the modified map from map in media has been made to show how is the good design of map to deliver information.<p align="justify">
