Description
Summary:
Digital makeup is a solution proposed for problem faced by theather industry in changing performer’s makeup during the show. Using projection mapping concept, this system is able to projecting animated makeup digital onto moving performer’s face. This research particularly explains a method used to track and reconstruct face in limited lighting resource and a method used to do projection mapping dynamically in both translational and rotational axis. Utilizing Kinect for Windows v2 as an input sensor and Mini LED with 1200 lumens, in the end of experiment, specifications aimed achieved with a verification that system has stability above 80% to track face that covered with 91.66% colors from common color palette, within dark room and markerlessly. This system can reconstruct face model’s expression with similarity level up to 87.20%. Besides, this system also able to do dynamic projection in both axis (translational and rotational) with accuracy level ranged between 47.77% to 98.426% and latency with the number of 53.9ms for movement about 50cm in translational axis, and 43.805ms for movement about 45° in rotational axis.
