| Summary: | <p align="justify">Film Appreciation Centre is a place for movies, especially Indonesian movies, to evolve, appreciated, and stored in good condition. This project is the answer of the needs of appreciation centre for movies, by now there is only one film appreciation centre with bad condition, Sinematek Indonesia. This project take place in Yogyakarta, which is one of the most productive city in film sector, and expected to be main cinema in this city. This project located in Tentara Pelajar Street and Bumijo Lor street with 10,983 m² land area. Initiators of this project are Pusat Pengembangan Perfilman Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI and CGV Cinemas. Based on the programs that the initiators have, which is to grow the love for movies in society especially Indonesian movies, then combined with the issues, so the concept that this project bring is “Sinektika Sinematik,” meaning that this concept is a integration of two things opposite in this context are the eras of movies. In delivering this concept, this project accommodates two eras of movies, old movies in preservation and new movies in cinemas.<p align="justify"> |
