However, based on the results of studies conducted by the government, there’s a risk that tsunami can happen in this region. The tourism sector is particularly vulnerable to public perceptions for safety and security reasons, thus it requiring strategies to mitigate the impact of this disaster. <br />
<br />
With the possibility that it can happen anytime, the tourists who spend their holiday in Sanur will not reach their highest satisfaction if the hotels have no planning in dealing with this disaster. Since 2009, several star hotels in Sanur have implemented tsunami mitigation and preparedness strategies, and make it as an integral part of their business procedures. This research aims to determine the impact of tsunami risk reduction conducted by ten star-rated hotels in Sanur region towards Bali's tourism industry, based on the perspective of stakeholders. <br />

To achieve the research objectives, this final project uses quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative method of questionnaires is used to determine the perceptions of tourists who stay in ten hotels in Sanur, then the data is analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Meanwhile, qualitative method of interviews is used to determine the perceptions of the government and the hotel management. In addition, observations were made to the hotel area. <br />

The results of this research indicate that tsunami disaster risk reduction conducted by four star hotels in Sanur have an impact on the increasing number of tourist visitors. This happens because most of the first-time travelers, especially from Europe, prefer to use the services of travel agents. Most of the travel agents require the hotels to implement tsunami risk reduction measures, for the safety of tourists.The obligation to protect tourists from the tsunami-threatening impacts has made some hotels consistently perform tsunami risk reduction efforts. In addition, the number of guest repeaters to Sanur is also increases. Although the tourists knowing that Sanur is a tsunami prone area, they still have a high interest to return to this region on their next visit, with the consideration that they will stay in hotels that have plans in dealing with tsunami. <p align="justify"> <br />
