We offer a solution by adding another authentication on top the existing authentication system used by ATMs, by using biometrics. Fingershield ATM is a kind of ATM that we designed with another layer of security of a fingerprint authentication system. One of the subsystems in Fingershield ATM is the database server, which is used to store user accounts' information such as PIN and balance. And all subsystems in this ATM is integrated into our complete product. <br />
<br />
On its implementation, the database server is capable of keeping user’s information needed to simulate an ATM’s transactions. Sensitive data such as PIN is also encrypted in the database, and the communication process between the server and client is also secured with a few layers of security using a kind of encryption scheme. Subsystem integration is done and our Fingershield ATM can be used just like a standard ATM. And from our survey to the users of our product, largely felt that our product is plenty convinient and comfortable to use. <p align="justify"> |
