Summary: | <p align="justify">Water quality of the Citarum Watershed (DAS) became one of the world's most famous reviews, due to the highly polluted water. Contamination of Citarum and Muara Gembong watersheds is caused by domestic waste, agricultural waste and industrial waste. This Final Project conducted research on water quality condition of Citarum watershed to Muara Gembong by using water standard quality according to PP. 82 of 2001 for the river water quality and according to Ministry of Environment Regulation No. 51 of 2004 for the seawater quality. The parameters that used on this research are Water Temperature, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Turbidity, pH, Salinity, Dissolve Oxygen (DO), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonia, Cadmium, Chromium hexavalent and fecalcoli. The river water quality parameter data of Citarum watershed are obtained from Citarum River Basin Region (BBWS) 2015-2016, while the seawater/estuary quality parameter data are obtained from Jakarta Environment Control Agency (BPLH) 2015-2016. There are 35 observation stations of the river water quality and 4 observation stations at the estuary. Data processing is done based on the season, because of the seasonal dominant influence in the area. Classification of the Citarum River water quality is using Water Quality Index (WQI) method and compared to the standard quality. The water quality index of Citarum watershed with first grade standard shows the level of clean to moderate pollution during the East season 2016 and heavily polluted during the East Season 2016. Seawater quality index with using standard quality harbor show the level of clean to moderate pollution during the Transition 2 season 2016 and show the level of moderate pollution to dirty during the Trasnsition season 2015. Pollution occurs from the upstream area, but the highest pollution is in the middle area before passing through the reservoir, pollution after the reservoir has decreased. It shows that the function of the reservoir can reduce pollution.<p align="justify"> |
