<p align="justify"> Birds are one group of organisms that are susceptible to changes in their habitat. There is a tendency to change the abundance of bird populations and bird diversity over time. Research is required to find patterns of changes in population abundance and diversity of birds in the highlands of Bandung over a long period of time. This study aims to identify diversity, estimate abundance, and determine the distribution of bird populations in various habitat types in the highland landscape of Bandung. This research was conducted in 14 locations with different habitat types. To find out the presence of birds, direct observation method is used and for estimation of abundance, combined methods of Line Transects and Strip Census are used. 33 of 81 bird species reported in this research. Tangkuban Perahu I has the highest diversity value (H '= 0.9576) with high evenness (E = 0.9576). The most significant changes in abundance were found in Collocalia esculenta (0.0095->0.1048). The most widespread species is Passer Montanus (found in 14 plots, altitude of 665-1960 masl). Changes in diversity, abundance, and distribution are related to environmental factors, trends in population decline, presence of migratory bird species, changes in stratification of vegetation, and cosmopolitan behavior.
